Is it important that the company you are dealing with is insured?
Absolutely! This is not only important for your personal belongings, but also for buildings. If, for example, an employee damages a floor or wall, the company must have good insurance to cover claims.
Is it important to use a well-known moving company?
Yes, because the experience of a company can make a big difference to the quality of your move.
Should I shop around for the best hourly rate?
Absolutely not. Although you are looking to save on the cost of your move, choosing a “cheap” moving firm does not guarantee that your bill will be lower. Many moving companies display a low hourly rate, but then add on extras at the end of the move which you are required to pay immediately. Before signing a contract, make sure you ask questions as well as for a quote.
Do you disinfect the trucks?
At Brault Déménagement, in order to avoid any contamination and cross-contamination, we require our customers to cover their mattress with a protective cover.
To date, we have not had any cases of contamination. Our employees are properly trained to detect pest infestations, and, in the event of any doubt, we will refuse to transport goods.
