About Terrebonne

The current city of Terrebonne was created in 2001 through a merger of three cities: Terrebonne, La Plaine and Lachenaie. It’s the tenth largest city in Quebec and the fourth largest in Greater Montreal, with a population of more than 119,000 residents, including one of the highest proportions of young families in Quebec.

Terrebonne is located in the Lanaudière region, northwest of Montreal. It’s the seat of the Les Moulins regional county municipality (RCM).
